Garland alarm permit and false alarm fees
Garland counts false fire alarms separately from burglar alarms. The first two in twelve months are free, then each one costs $150. A site with both systems needs to track both counts.

The part that catches people
False fire alarms. A separate and much harsher count. Two free in twelve months, then $150 for every false fire alarm after that, three times the opening burglar alarm rate.
Senior residential permit. Residential permit holders over 65 pay $25 a year.
Robbery alarms. Three free in twelve months, then $75 each, for sites other than financial institutions.
Medical alarms. Two free in twelve months, then $50 each.
