Alarm ordinance and nuisance alarm review

Every nuisance alarm your system throws is billable to you, and enough of them cost you the response as well. Sites paying at the top tier almost never have an equipment problem. They have a call list, a contract, or a panel that nobody has opened in years.

Three free, then the fees climb and never come back down inside the rolling window. Fee amounts are capped statewide by Texas Local Government Code section 214.197, but the tier boundaries and the non-burglar charges differ by city.

How it runs

  1. Check the permit. Whether every site holds a current one, because in Dallas the Chief of Police may refuse response to a site that does not.
  2. Find the tier. Where each site currently sits in its rolling twelve months, which decides what the next alarm costs.
  3. Trace the cause. The call list, the monitoring contract, and the panel programming. The answer is nearly always in one of those three.
  4. Fix the paper. Revised call list, revised verification procedure, and the change request to send your monitoring provider.

What you receive

  • Permit status for every site, with what is missing and how to file it.
  • Your current fee position and what the next twelve months look like unchanged.
  • The specific cause of the recurring alarms, traced to the list, the contract or the panel.
  • A revised call list and verification procedure, written and ready to send.

Paper and policy only. We do not install, service or monitor anything. See the alarm ordinance comparison for what a false alarm costs in seven Dallas-Fort Worth cities.

A first conversation costs nothing. Tell us the property type, the hours that worry you, and what is in place today. If we look at it and there is nothing worth fixing, we will say so.
