Irving alarm permit and false alarm fees
In Irving, the thirteenth false alarm in twelve months can put the permit at risk. The chief may revoke it at that point, but revocation is discretionary. A valid permit is required for police alarm response.

The part that catches people
Permit revocation. The Chief of Police may revoke a permit for a violation of the ordinance, a false statement on the application, non-payment of an assessed fee, or an alarm system that generates more than twelve false alarms in any twelve months.
Senior and disability rate. Permit holders 65 or older, or receiving Social Security disability income, pay $10 a year instead of $50. The code applies this reduced rate to annual renewals.
Fire-only systems. Systems that only detect fire, smoke or water flow are outside this chapter.
How this compares
Most cities in this comparison charge $50, then $75, then $100 for false burglar alarms. Grand Prairie charges $50 from the fourth through the tenth and lists suspension at the eleventh. Permit fees, separate alarm counts and response rules need their own check.
Compare all eleven Texas cities side by side.

Recurring false alarms need a closer look. Start with the call list, the monitoring contract and the panel settings. Our alarm ordinance and nuisance alarm review traces which of the three is doing it. We do not install, service or monitor anything.
